Lerato Sussex Supper Club

In Africa we believe, we are all equal especially when we come together to share food around the same table.

I create a wonderful marriage of cuisines, inspired by my African upbringing and influences from the continent and beyond, often using local British produce, cooked with wondrous spices. My African feasts and cookery classes as seen on the BBC, The Evening Standard, Time Out London and more are well known for the seasonal changing menu and guaranteed explosion of flavours. In true African spirit, we feast on sharing plates at the center of the table. Vegetarians and vegans are most welcome as this is a feast for all. African Festive Feast in Brighton 

Join us this festive season as I takeover the Old Albion in Hove for a pumpkin inspired feast. In true African spirit, we will feast on sharing plates at the center of the table. Pumpkins are a popular produce in Senegal and a much loved produce of the autumnal harvest in England. Expect vibrant flavours of autumnal organic and Sussex grown pumpkins, squash, kale and apples, with plantains and organic free range lamb cooked in wondrous African spices. This is a feast for all!

Eastbourne Lunch Club

For a midweek boost why not join us for an informal healthy, energizing and reinvigorating lunch with good conversations and exchange of ideas. Share your expertise and learn from others who have something to share, or just come for sumptuous food and good company. Eastbourne Lunch Club – Wednesday, 1st November, 12.30pm – 2.30pm.

I’ll serve sharing plates of Moroccan spiced roasted plantains with braised kale & sweet peppers, with grilled chicken and coconut quinoa. Baked apples with blueberries & date compote and almonds for dessert. Vegans & vegetarians are modt welcome. Coffee and a selection of black, herbal, & single estate teas will be served.



Friday Fish Feasts


In Eastbourne we live on the coast and yet many of us don’t enjoy fish as much as we should. I hope to change that by hosting regular fish feasts where I will serve a variety of fish and seafood dishes cooked in the style of many cuisines from Moroccan, French to Thai…even a gourmet fish and chips perhaps!

With amazing fish from our local fishmongers at southern head fishing co, this month we will sail to West Africa to enjoy a four course feast. There will be a welcome drinks and you can also bring your favourite drinks.

Moroccan Supper Club


Join us for a warming Moroccan Feast with the seasons best produce to the menu; Roasted aubergines and shallots with ras-el-hanout & sweetcorn Purée, chicken tagine with apricot and almonds or vegetable tagine, saffron cous cous with pomegranate, carrot & orange salad with orange blossom and T’fah apple tart.

Join us for a homemade roast with a selection of canapés, and over 6-courses with plantains, jollof rice and feasting plates inspired by my Nigerian childhood.  There will be welcome drinks and you can bring your favourite drinks to accompany your meal. Yoga Brunch in the yurt with Eva


Join us for an exhilarating day of yoga with a healthy brunch in our beautiful yurt at the Wellbeing Center in Stonecross.

With over ten years experience as a certified yoga instructor, Eva Kristova of the popular Yoga Life in Eastbourne, will lead our yoga session with her usual grace and positivity.

After our class, we will enjoy a healthy plant based brunch which I will prepare with lots of love to refresh and replenish with a healthy sweet treat to end a delightful morning.

African Pumpkin & Spice Supper Club


Join us for a feast with winter pumpkins and squashes as I use them in a pumpkin and apple welcome drink, West African warming and incredibly aromatic pepper soup with pumpkin, cauliflower and pumpkin seeds, a vegetable roast with squash and seasonal greens such as kale, including, serves with Quinoa, mushroom pie with pumpkin and plantain crisps, and a scrumptious cashew cream & chocolate pumpkin pie with date syrup to follow. We love Christmas and what better time to bring people together for a festive celebration with sumptuous food.

If you enjoy the full works, with Christmas lights, lit Christmas tree and all the trimmings, join us at our celebration and be treated to a feast of African and world inspired foods.

With festive drinks on arrival, our feasting table will include canapés such;

Plantain Fritters with Cauliflower Purée and Pepper Sauce

Spiced pumpkin soup with powdered moringa & plantain crisps

Suya nomadic spiced vegetable rolls,

Vegan roasts with plantains, heritage carrots and chestnut mushrooms and a creamy vegan gravy

Spiced lamb and chicken roasts with heritage carrots, kale and a delicious gravy

Spice roasted potatoes

Chocolate Orange Cake with spiced chocolate sauce, raspberries and blackberries.

Tea and coffee.

You can also bring your preferred drinks!
